The cistern or water reservoir is a construction of the late Middle Ages. It is located behind the Martyrs’ Mausoleum. Water was collected from the natural springs of the hilly area. It represents a construction with an arched roof covered with tiles, surrounded by buttresses. There are five entrance steps and a vaulted door above which is a circular window for ventilation.
