The Kavajë ethnographic museum was built in the XIX century as a symmetrical house for two families, brothers, in the shape of the letter U, and built as symmetrical. Its main elements are the open porch supported by wooden columns and in the center the two rooms of the fire house, which are directly connected to the porch. The couple’s room is on the groundfloor, while the guests room rise above a half-floor where warehouses were located. The rooms are equipped with wooden wardrobes inserted into the wall and wooden platforms. The house built with adobe walls has wide eaves to protect the walls from the rain.
